Wedding Crashers in Utah

The bell was going to ring in about five minutes but I just couldn't handle the suspense - so I let me kids out early and I made my way to my car. This would have made all the difference between a simple drive to LAX and the stressful rush to LAX - but it was a FRIDAY so traffic was horrendous!! I was literally getting out of the car at 4:30pm - my flight... 4:35pm. I was successful in packing one carry-on suitcase so I did fly trough the airport, but honestly, can you see the visual of me running... yeah I was dying! I get to the gate and they say, "Maybe this is her!" Turns out they were waiting for the Captain - YES, I made it!!! But as I endured the first fifteen minutes of hard core turbulance, I wasn't so excited to be on that plane. The grading I brought with me saved me - a perfect distraction!!!

Paige and I had the chance to just hang out and it was amazing! She took me out to dinner and let me tell you, I could use that meal again RIGHT NOW! We were even surprised to see entertainment with our meal... perfect night out!






Now I can't say this weekend was our best as far as photos are concerned, but we still had to document our time together! I see a gigantic prego and Paige sees a school girl - oh well :) I even had to go to Target to buy tights to endure the Utah weather and shoes that fit... a size and a half bigger than normal! Eric even asked me if my ankle was sprained... NOPE, just looks that way!

So Saturday morning began with John's wedding - John was one of Wes' mission companions and very close friend. It was great to be there for him and it was even better to be there for Paige! After his sealing there was a luncheon that I couldn't attend, so I went to lunch on my own. Yes, I ate at my own pace, I graded, and I didn't have to clean up a mess after my meal!
So two events down, two more to go. The reason for my trip was to attend my friend's wedding. Kelly and I went to grad school together and there was no one else in that program that I loved. Kelly is amazing and I just couldn't miss this day of hers. Paige and I loved the immediate area and so I decided to take a couple pictures outside just to remember it!









The night didn't end there - we then made our way back towards Provo for John's reception. Yes - what a day!



If I wasn't so swollen and tired, I would have to say this was the perfect trip. It was amazing to hang out with Paige, be there for Kelly and know that Andrew was with the boys. I have to say though, despite all the bonuses of not having to take care of kids, it was still difficult not to envy those with their kids. Who would have thought!?!?




I SO could have done without the turbulance though - these clouds made for an incredible picture, but an awful flight. Andi was the most active this weekend during both flights. Did she feel the ride or my stress??
