Sunday: A Walk in the Park

Finally - I have a kid that likes to swing.... she was in there the ENTIRE time! But I may not be as excited when she's older and will want me to push her ALL THE TIME!It's funny how the kids want to compete - even this young. Ryan wanted to join in the fun but he didn't ENJOY it for very long.

Jackson has a tendency to play too rough with other kids. I often think how much he would like to be Beckham or Hudson so he could have his match - his twin. Ethan and Jackson have really come to get one another, they have come a long way. But other kids often refer to Jackson as "that mean kid".
So when he found these little boys - little boys that welcomed his crazy super-hero behavior... he was in heaven!

My New Hurdle

Ever since Jackson was a couple weeks old, I have forfeited MY shower time to take care of two birds with one stone. Yes, I have been showering with my kids for over THREE years!
UNTIL NOW
We simply don't fit anymore.... so I usually have one or two with me, the other or others right outside the door just waiting to get in; but the other morning this wasn't the case. They have been giving me more and more distance. This particular morning Andi and I had a long, peaceful, relaxing shower - yes, no one else crying to get in. No fighting right outside the shower curtain. No grunting as Ryan attempts to take off his pj's and jump on in. No one accidentally falling into the shower. Nope - IT WAS WONDERFUL.

Halloween

Yes I already have Christmas music playing and holiday scents a brewing - but here's my Halloween post.

Andrew and the kids got the house spooked out - as much as you can an hour before a party - and we were ready to ready all the little goblins into our home.

We had were surrounded by such great friends it was an exciting Halloween. These five families consisted of: 11 adults - 14 kids and a whole lot to eat!

Needless to say - we didn't great the greatest shot of all FOURTEEN children... maybe next year.

We found out we don't live in a very happening neighborhood, but I think it was good enough for the kids. As it was, Andrew had to empty Ryan's pumpkin half way through because it was too full. Or maybe that was just Ryan considering he would help himself to more candy after people already gave him some.

Just like Disneyland right Danny :)

Preschool Halloween Party

Last Friday Jackson had his school Halloween party. I made a parental mistake.... I asked Jackson if he wanted to wear his costume, he said no, I thought good now I don't have to go find it, and we left. We get to school and he was so weird. He was shy, and awkward, and just seemed uncomfortable. I think it's because he was the only one, or one of two, that wasn't in costume. Poor kid - mom failed. But if this wasn't the reason for his sour face, I have no clue how else to explain it because he LOVES school.

Then the kids performed some songs - well most performed, again Jackson... not in the mood I guess...

Following the performance, we headed to the front yard for games. This was so fun to watch. And Mr. Ryan loved it all and so badly wanted to join in. Jackson wasn't pleased with the toilet paper he got - he gave it back to Ms. Shirley. I tried to explain it was a ghost and there was a sucker underneath, but he wasn't having it.
Each kid brought goodies and handed it out for their trick or treating - too cute. And yes, Ryan joined!
Then back to the yard for the cupcake walk. Ryan found this nice man to keep him company - funny kid. Andi wanted to play and Jackson had no clue why they were walking in a circle.
Now what day off wouldn't be complete with a trip to the park? After the party we did naps, then out again to hang out with friends. Long but GOOD day!

She Ventured Out

We missed Michalle oh so much - dang girl ditched us to welcome Allie into the world. Ok, good enough excuse. But I have to say, it just hasn't been the same. So the day she ventured out to the park again was so very exciting. Welcome back Michalle!!
