Time Out for Women

Michael McLean at Time Out for Women - I had to go!!! I called everyone to see who wanted to join me. From that point out, it was countdown to freedom, countdown to rejuvenation, countdown to Michael, countdown to girls time.

Friday night my mom and I headed to Corona to pick up my grandma. Years ago I saw Michael live, and since then, I have been trying to get my grandma to see him play. There's nothing more exhilarating than watching a good pianist. That night, Tori and Annette joined us - there's no way you could keep Tori from that!

Saturday we headed back for a different experience. It was more of a spiritual day. We learned of other people's trials and we heard about the ways to endure. Tina, Mindee, and Amber joined us that day (we so missed Michalle, but she was too busy having a baby to come play with us!) and it was awesome to be surrounded by all these women that are so very important to me.
I learned that we just need to be there, be there for one another. But really, in thinking about it later, I didn't learn that then. I have been taught that all my life - my mother has always taught us to just be there!!! I should have taken notes - I will next year for sure :)
Oh but wait - I didn't take notes on our lunch, but that dessert will never leave my memory. We went to a place my Aunt Sharon recommended and let me tell you, we were not disappointed. Dessert was included - YUM!

I am so grateful to my dad and Andrew for making it possible for me to spend time with my mom, my in-laws, my friends, my Abuelita and Michael :)

What I Couldn't Live Without

Ok maybe I could live without going to the park with friends and then going to lunch - BUT I DON'T WANT TO! It is what helps me get through the days!!!

And really, I don't think the kids mind either. When I get Jackson dressed in the morning, he always asks me, "Where are we going?". What, stay home all day, not in our blood!

Good Morning

A Cool, BLUE Day

Ahhh, LONG SLEEVES - it was so nice! Actually, that day we didn't dress warm enough - oh how I pray those days return soon!

Grandma Shopping even stopped by the say hi - and play with my kids because at the park, I'd rather sit and talk then get up and entertain.

That night to boys went to the Dodger game - When Andrew found out tickets were scored, he turned into a little boy. So off they went for an evening out and we continued our park habits back at my place. That's right, the kids entertained themselves outside and we stayed inside watching Survivor, eating ice cream sundaes, and playing "Imaginiff". Good night!

Sushi of Course

The last time Shay was here we said we probably wouldn't go back to Light N Healthy - well she came and wanted to bring Mike.... It was good, but worth the $$$ - not too sure about that. So we'll see what happens on the next visit. But it of course was still a perfect memory and good time.

After sushi we always needs something sweet - mmm Chocolate Covered Strawberries.... Yum, delicious! And on top of that, we had a blast playing games. We haven't had that much fun in so long - it was a good, fun Anderson night.... Anderson, Snider, Dexter :)
