Summer Week 6

So that handy Mexican was handy, yet again. They weren't able to join us on our trip to Laughlin but dad tried to get the six leaks fixed before we left.

 The last time we were at this gas station, Jackson was just a few months old and we were terrified to take him on Uncle Sam's boat so we stayed home one day while everyone else went out and then the next day Juana and Ito watched him while we went out for a few hours. Crazy how things change - Andi was nursing and only months old when we took her out onto the boat - as was Cole!

 We got a late start on our travel plans that day trying to fix up the toon. Because it's supposed to be a super crazy busy launch ramp, we decided to launch that evening instead of dealing with the morning crowd. Glad we did it, for sure, but I know Andrew wishes he had arrived in swim trunks that night!! 

 I wasn't a fan of our hotel or its location - but the view was pretty darn cool.

 So, again, we got a late start. We were last out and took our time cruising the toon to go meet up with everyone else. It was a peaceful morning ride until the prop quit on us!

 When the prop quit, we slowly drifted back to shore to take it over to the shop. The toon spent the rest of the day in the shop but our friends picked us up to enjoy a couple hours out on the lake with them. 

 Day two the toon was up and running but still taking on water. Fact of the matter, this boat needs a new set of toons. But hey, the new seats were super cozy!!

 The River ferry was pretty darn cool.

 Considering all the water the toons took on, it was one slow ride back to dock - they didn't mind!

 

 Once back home it was back to baseball, swim dates and what not.

 Oh, and yes, I didn't see Jackson the entire last day in Laughlin and he ignored me when I told him to put on sunscreen and well, he blistered his arm. It was knarly!

 Beach day with the DeLeon's - a must have at least once a year. We wish they lived closer!

 Again, a workout attempt.

 We're so grateful for the effort Ben and Jill put forth in nurturing our relationships. We love getting together with them no matter where we meet. Even if this particular location made our entire car so very sick, it was worth it in the end.
