I Love You Because...

It was number 3.  I'm certain of it.  3 went, got the pot, added water to the soil, and began the mud war.  4 really had nothing to do with it until 3 splattered 4's face.  1 laughed, and laughed, this was all mom heard while she painted the kitchen.  Desperate to finish, mom decided to not investigate just yet.  Haha, amateur.  Silence or pure joy is typically the result of misbehaving.  Duh!  No one cried, no one screamed, all just had a grand 'ol time.  That was until mom came to a stopping point and finally took the time to investigate.

And there they were, 1, 3, and 4 covered in wet soil.  Where was 2?  2 watched from the safety of the porch just as his dad would have done in the days of his youth.  Mom yelled, surprise surprise, something about needed to go to the store but now they're all muddy, bla bla bla.

1 came in with idea, of course, 1 always has an idea.  Something about taking baths and changing clothes so all could go.  Mom scoffed at the idea considering that was just more work for her while trying to finish up the kitchen.

1 then came in with a new idea, of course.  1 would take all the kids to the shower, a shower because 1 knows a bath is not appropriate when covered in filth, and then dress them before the inevitable departure.  Mom painted, 1 bathed and dressed the children.

Mom is grateful that 1 has a good sense of fashion.  Something about telling 2 not to wear sandals because you can't wear sandals with socks.  And something about not being a lazy bones jones when trying to get ready.  1 pronounced all were ready to go now.  Hmmm, maybe mom should clean up the paint and shower again considering the shower before boot camp doesn't really count anymore.

*4 played while the others bathed

*The kitchen is not yet done - mom bought off-white instead of white so she has yet to be able to do the ceiling.  Mom and dad are still undecided about the back splash but are leaning towards a white stone.  Originally mom wanted grey or white subway tiles, but because the paint is more blue less grey, the original plan has flown out the window.  To be continued...
